Langhorne, PA— Physicians Endoscopy, LLC (PE), along with the physicians of the Gastroenterology Group PA, the Center for Colon and Rectal Health, Inc., and St. Mary Medical Center are pleased to announce on December 1, 2016, the organizations finalized a joint venture relationship.
PE, leader in the development and management of GI single-specialty ambulatory surgery centers, acquired a minority interest in The Endoscopy Center at St. Mary (ECSM), making this their 43rd ASC.
The Endoscopy Center at St. Mary is a four-room ambulatory surgery center providing over 5,500 procedures annually. The Center opened for operations in 2006 on the campus of St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.
“For the past few years, we had considered partnering with a strategic company to help elevate our center to the next level. Physicians Endoscopy being GI-focused made the most sense. They were able to identify areas to optimize our business, developed an action plan and quickly implemented the necessary changes that have already positively impacted operations within a few short months. Having their support and guidance provides a sense of security knowing they are truly invested in our ongoing success.” John Volpe, DO, Medical Director.
“It has been a pleasure working with the physicians and hospital in helping them to achieve their goals. While the center has been successful for many years, the owners felt a business partner would help to support operations, reduce costs, and implement strategic planning for the next several years as healthcare continues to change.” Carol Stopa, SVP Business Development, Physicians Endoscopy.
“St. Mary Medical Center is excited about this new partnership as we continue to strive to provide the best care for our community.” Maria Scenna, Board Member, St. Mary Medical Center
The Endoscopy Center at St. Mary is a licensed and nationally accredited, ambulatory surgery center serving the southeastern Pennsylvania, central New Jersey and greater Philadelphia communities since 2006.
St. Mary Medical Center, recipient of the America’s 100 Best Hospitals award for three consecutive years, is a 371-bed hospital providing care to generations of families in Bucks County, PA and nearby communities.
Physicians Endoscopy builds collaborative, long-term relationships with physicians and hospitals that positively impact patients, the center and the bottom line. For more information about GI-focused new ambulatory surgery center and hospital joint venture partnerships, visit contact us!
