Title: Accounting Manager
Status: Full Time
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, analyze and review monthly financial statements including consolidation of corporate entity
- Review monthly financial statements for multiple centers according to established close schedule including explanations of budget variances to center management
- Ability to identify key trends based on historical performance and budget expectations; ability to analyze variances and effectively communicate reasons
- Assist/Manage the year-end audit process
- Assist with year-end tax preparation including sending information, communicating with outside accounting firm and reviewing completed returns
- Prepare and review annual budgets for multiple entities including communicating with management and projecting revenue and expenses
- Analyze healthcare Accounts Receivable data including contractual allowance calculations; identify trends and determine impact on calculations and make adjustments accordingly
- Approve invoices according to policies and procedures
- Assist with new center openings including purchasing and financing
- Undertake special analytical projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be an effective communicator at all levels and enjoy working in a team environment
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting
- CPA
- Minimum of 4 years experience required
- Experience supervising/mentoring staff at various levels
- Healthcare experience with a strong understanding of AR contractual allowance calculations
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner according to established deadlines
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and financial software packages as needed. Experience with MAS 90 accounting software a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, strong work ethic, analytical and possess demonstrated teamwork skills
